Walk the veld
where the wild is returning.

The smallest and richest of the world's six floral kingdoms is being smothered by invasive trees. It is our sole/soul mission to protect the thousands of species that grow here and nowhere else on Earth. We clear the trees, free the fynbos, and put the wood to good use. Come and walk the veld while it recovers.

A young invasive tree, bare and blackened after fire, rooted in pale Cape sand.

Something is always on the bench

Alongside the walks, there are beautiful things taking shape in the studio, made slowly and by hand. They will be ready to share soon. Join our mailing list so you don't miss them.

The loop

One tree, nothing wasted

  1. 01

    Clear

Invasive trees are cleared from fynbos and renosterveld in the Overberg. The veld starts to recover within a season.

  2. 02

    Collect

Our own team gathers what has been felled. Left where it falls, it is burned or rots, or waits to feed the next fire.

  3. 03

    Refine

What comes off the land is sorted, cured and refined by hand, slowly and in small batches.

  4. 04

    Return

What is left goes back into the soil. A share of every sale helps fund the clearing of the next hectare.

The bigger this gets, the more we are able to give back to the veld.
